Who We Are
A Long-Standing Church.....Replanted & Growing with New Life!

Uniontown Baptist Church began in 1842, with its first official worship building completed in 1844. For more than 180 years, this church family has faithfully proclaimed the Good News of Jesus in this community through seasons of joy and moments of challenge alike.

In 2021, after a season when it seemed that UBC may cease to exist and all hope had faded, God began to breathe new life into His church at UBC. He brought together a few faithful members with a recently formed house‑church just down the street, forming a new family and rekindling a desire to see Christ’s name lifted high in this community. In His kindness, God made it clear that He intended to preserve this Gospel witness and write a new chapter in UBC’s story.

We’ve been walking that path ever since—following His lead, growing in unity, and learning to trust Him step by step. In 2024, we partnered with the Send Network of the SBC to strengthen this replanting work and continue the mission God has entrusted to us.

We are an autonomous local church that partners with other like‑minded churches through the Southern Baptist Convention. Through the SBC, we get to play a small but meaningful part in sending missionaries around the world to share the Gospel of Jesus, planting churches across North America and beyond, equipping future pastors and leaders through SBC‑supported seminaries and training programs, caring for communities in times of disaster, and so much more.
