Uniontown Baptist Church kicked off summer with energy, joy, and spiritual growth — a season overflowing with God’s goodness and Gospel momentum.
Camp Homestead 2026 set the tone for June, as students and leaders gathered for a week of worship, lessons, hikes, games, and campfires. Hearts were stirred, friendships deepened, and faith strengthened under the stars. The camp’s spirit of unity and discipleship reflected the heartbeat of UBC — helping young believers grow in Christ through community and adventure. We focused on 'Walking Like Jesus' and studied the "I Am's" of Jesus.
Adding to the celebration, Ruger Reeves preached his first sermon, "From Death to Life: The Miracle of God's Grace" (Ephesians 2:1-11). He faithfully shared God’s Word and encouraged our congregation. As he crafted the sermon and stepped into the pulpit to share his gift with our body, it was a powerful reminder of how God raises up new voices to proclaim His truth and serve His church for His purposes. Praise God for His ways and His empowerment. He is using Ruger in mighty ways as He continues to work here at UBC. "From (Jesus) the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love." (Ephesians 4:16)
Meanwhile, the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Orlando brought together over 11,000 Messengers and 21,000 attendees for worship, fellowship, and decision‑making. It was a historic milestone for UBC, as we sent our first Messenger to participate and vote on leaders, resolutions, and budgets. To pray over and commission 63 new International Mission Board missionaries. We are thankful to stand alongside many faithful brothers and sisters to take the Gospel to the nations, to plant new healthy churches, to prepare ministry leaders, and send relief to those in times of need.
From campfires to pulpits to convention halls, the first 10 days of June were filled with Kingdom movement — a vivid picture of God’s people working, worshiping, and witnessing together for His glory.
