What an incredible day we experienced together at Lake Isabella. Under open skies and surrounded by our church family, we witnessed three believers publicly declare their faith in Jesus through the waters of baptism. The water may have been cold, but the joy was overflowing, and the sense of God’s presence was unmistakable.
On this special day, Tera Corpron, Dakota Simms, and Darcie Simms each shared their testimony of God’s grace—how He pursued them, rescued them, and brought them to saving faith in Jesus Christ as their only hope and Savior. Three different stories, one Savior — each coming from very different backgrounds, yet all finding the same hope, the same grace, and the same eternal future in Christ — a beautiful reminder of the unity the gospel creates. Then, in the waters of Lake Isabella, each one went under, symbolizing the old life buried with Christ, and rose again, declaring the new life they now walk in Him. It was a powerful picture of transformation, obedience, and the beauty of the gospel on display.
Moments like these remind us why we gather, why we pray, and why we go. Baptism is not just a ceremony—it is a celebration of God’s redeeming work, a visible testimony of His grace, and a reminder that He is still drawing people to Himself. As a church family, we rejoiced together, thanking God for the privilege of witnessing these steps of faith and for allowing us to walk alongside these brothers and sisters in their journey with Christ.
God is moving. Lives are being changed. And we give Him all the glory for what He is doing in and through Uniontown Baptist Church. These baptisms are the stories of individuals—but they are also part of the larger story God is writing in our church family, a story of grace, renewal, and the unstoppable work of the gospel.
May we continue to pray, continue to celebrate, and continue to expect God to do great things as He builds His church, one transformed life at a time.
